Ultimate High fidelity

The best way to improve timing characteristics is to use impulse response.
An impulse is a theoretical signal with infinitesimal time duration, infinite amplitude and an area of 1 - an instant 'blip' containing all frequencies.
Impulse response shows up imperfections in a speaker's design. Theoretically, a perfect speaker should reproduce the impulse exactly, with no colouration. In practice, lower-quality designs introduce standing waves and other unwanted resonance and vibration.
If all frequencies are summed together, an impulse contains all frequencies. =The impulse response is a collection of sound waveform information.
Because these resonances mixwith other soundwaves, what comes out doesn't sound like the original recording.
With accurate speakers, the input signal closely resembles the output signal.
Eclipse technology takes impulse response as the absolute base measurement of a speaker. Eliminating unwanted resonance and getting the impulse response right ensures that what you hear is the authentic sound, just as it was recorded.
