The high-speed drive unit has a spectacular 10% approximate reduction in vibrating mass and a 20% increase in magnetic flux density than the 512 model.

The new zinc diffusion stay has three times the specific gravity of the usual aluminium alternative. So it's far better at damping vibrations from the drive unit.

The spike-on insulator supports the base while minimising residual vibration.

Thanks to these smart components and design, the TD712z's impulse response has improved by around 10%, and reproduction has increased to 20kHz, without having to rely on tweeter resonance.
